Picaluna

Embrace Ceremony is wonderfully supported by Picaluna

We’ve spent a lot of energy finding a brand to support our services, and just like

Goldilocks, we were not happy until we found one which was ‘just right’........

We love the care and innovation of Picaluna, we love how they also want to disrupt an industry which was overdue for a shake up and we love how they go above and beyond and remain client focused, and we absolutely love their transparent pricing model, allowing you to choose where you spend and how you prioritise for that special and memorable day.

Funerals and memorials can be whatever you want them to be,

simple, traditional or alternative.

A NOTE FROM PICALUNA

“At Picaluna, we believe in creating truly unique and personalised farewells. We’re a different kind of funeral home in the Hunter Valley and surrounds. We work together with families to create life celebrations or personal funerals that take place in meaningful locations. Whether this is your church, your backyard, a surf club, golf club or crematorium chapel. Picaluna funeral directors take the time to guide you through the funeral planning; to help inspire you in creating a beautiful farewell for your special person.

Picaluna does things a little differently to traditional (Newcastle) funeral homes; we see our role is to assist and empower families to create meaningful and authentic farewells that are aligned with their values… and at an affordable price."

We are completely transparent with our pricing, sourcing everything at cost and applying a 40% Service fee

(30% for direct cremations with no service) to the wholesale cost of the funeral.

We donate 5% of our profit to your choice from one of our Picaluna Charity partners.

We have donated in excess of $105,000 to well over 160 different charities, since our launch in October, 2016.
