I could not recommend Picaluna (and in particular Paulina Mangano) who handled the funeral of a very special friend recently.
Paulina showed absolute compassion and genuine interest in helping the family find the perfect celebration of life service and went to great lengths to move mountains in making location for service and wake accessible.
It did not feel like ‘business’ and Paulina led the day with professionalism and grace (even keeping a comforting hand on my back as I read a few words).
We were very lucky to come across this dynamic combination when we needed them. I’d highly recommend Picaluna and Paulina whenever needed.​

Funerals are never a good experience but when I had to plan my husband's funeral, I was so glad that I had Picaluna and Paulina Mangano helping me navigate through everything that had to be done.
Paulina managed a lot of moving parts that brought together the perfect send off for my husband, including a military aspect and backup plan for bad weather as we had the funeral at a historic site overlooking the ocean, it was very open to the elements but amazing.
At the time of writing this, Picaluna’s fees for things like a coffin etc, were basically cost price plus 30% and this made a lot of decisions much more affordable.
I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Picaluna and Paulina Mangano to anyone that has to plan a funeral for a loved one. Their whole philosophy is in celebrating a life instead of mourning a death and Shane’s funeral was definitely a respectful and perfect celebration of his life.
